About Sarah

  • I’m an adventurer and a learner. I grew up in south Georgia with a curiosity for international affairs. After earning a BA in cultural anthropology, I spent 2+ years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Nicaragua. That experience set my career trajectory. I thrive on connection, embrace challenge, and am committed to positive change in the world.

Through graduate school and beyond, I gained experience managing projects, and designing and leading trainings with nonprofits - including a cross-cultural training for engineering students traveling to Bolivia! Soon after, I started a position coordinating Tulane’s internship and international programs, and leading a discussion-based seminar on Community and Civic Engagement.

At the start of my family, I took a 2 year detour to Bar Harbor, ME where I focused on becoming a new parent and exploring the trails of Acadia. Along the way, I developed some new skills as a Pilates/fitness instructor and a deejay for a local radio station. But, New Orleans called me back!

I returned to New Orleans to work for 3 years with a national nonprofit, HI USA, launching travel scholarship and outreach programs. I thrived in this role that let me spread my strategic-planning wings, and welcomed my creative vision for community engagement. My time there ended abruptly when the COVID-19 pandemic began.

In early 2021, I returned to Tulane as an advisor, supporting 400+ learners individually to navigate the undergraduate experience. In addition, I began teaching Life Design Education courses, which help students design their college and post-college lives. While I enjoyed advising, I wanted to shift into something that made better use of my creativity and problem-solving skills. Realizing that my past professional roles that involved training and teaching were the most rewarding, I turned my focus to sharpening my skills in learning and development. - specifically learning design and coaching.

In early 2023 I started my role as a Training Specialist and Coach at Tulane, where I designed, developed, created, and sometimes delivered trainings both virtually and in-person for advisors. Through assessment and feedback, and in collaboration with advising leadership, I improved the teams performance with dynamic trainings for onboarding and continuous professional development.

After extensive training, I earned my official life coaching certification in February of 2024 from CTEDU (ICF-accredited). While I had been using coaching tecniques in my work for many years, this gave me new skills and tools to use in supporting students and staff.

  • I relocated to beautiful Antigua, Guatemala for my husbands job in August of 2024. My first year was spent supporting my family in getting settled and building community in our new home.

In mid 2025 I launched my business, Core Presence, offering coaching for women’s health and wellness over the phone and online, Mat Pilates group classes and private sessions in Antigua, and online learning experience design services.

I’m a mother of two, adventuring with my family in the city and beyond. Movement of any kind, good food, and friends are important to me. I love to dance and discover new music.

  • I’m excited to connect with anyone who could benefit from my services! Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions.
